Frolicking all over the world, pooping rainbows and marshmallows wherever we go. [Arthur + Alfred]

Arthur made sure Alfred had gotten himself situated on the couch before Arthur began to rummage around Alfred's kitchen. It felt odd looking through someone else's things, but Arthur reminded himself that Alfred would probably make himself very malnourished if he didn't do anything about it. So Arthur continued to look around the kitchen, hoping to find something to feed Alfred. Arthur didn't want to risk exploding the kitchen, so he tried to avoid cooking. Eventually Arthur returned with a (badly made) sandwich, some fruit, some ice cream, and a glass of orange juice. "Eat. This won't make you fat, so don't you dare argue or throw it up," Arthur said. He was fully prepared to force feed the other model if he had to.

"The food should help you feel better. Once you're done, you should probably rest. Eat as much as you can, because you're probably feeling awful due to low blood sugar. L-listen, Alfred, I was thinking about calling the hospital, since you seem rather ill and you do need help with your... eating problem," Arthur said quietly. He remained in the room, making sure Alfred was eating and not losing his lunch.

Arthur's felt himself blush when Alfred thanked him, he wasn't used to being thanked, so he quickly hid his face, and pretended as if Alfred hadn't said it.

Arthur noticed how Alfred was glaring at the ice cream as if the dairy product had insulted his mother or some nonsense. He was surprised by Alfred's reaction to the prospect of going to the hospital. Not wanting to make a mess, Arthur quickly picked up and disposed of the apple. He wondered if he should prompt Alfred to eat more food so he wouldn't pass out or get hurt. Arthur wondered how he ended up having to care for the other model. Must've been his bad luck. Arthur knew he should have made sure to keep that hat off his bed earlier that day.

"Says the one who nearly passed out from lack of food and is glaring at a bit of ice cream as if it had slapped you. The hospital won't kill you, lad," Arthur replied.

Maybe it had insulted his mother! No, that was silly. But the ice cream was going to make him fat! It wasn’t that healthy ice cream so who knew what it could do to his figure! He watched as Arthur picked up the apple and threw it away before flopping down on the couch and hiding underneath the blanket. There was no way he was going to the hospital. No siree. That would kill his career. The minute anyone found out he was there, he’d be finished. So there was no way he would allow Arthur to drag him there.

Peeking out from under the blanket, Alfred turned his glare on Arthur. “I’m not going to the hospital!”

Arthur thought that Alfred was being extremely silly. Here the boy was, very ill from an eating disorder and thinking that getting help would kill him and cost him his career. Arthur wanted to slap some sense into Alfred and then drag the other to the hospital, yet Arthur knew that that probably wouldn't make much of a difference and would make Alfred resistant to help. So Arthur had to figure out a different strategy.

Arthur glared right back at Alfred when the other peeked out from behind the blanket. "Why not, pray tell? For fuck's sake man, you're ill! People go to the hospital when they're ill so they don't end up kicking the bucket. It's common sense, lad."

Arthur glared right back. "A bloody cookie nearly made you vomit into a shopping bag! I hardly think that's 'perfectly alright'. You starved yourself to the point of nearly collapsing! How can you even claim that there's nothing wrong?! You sobbed into a unicorn plushie for an hour and a half! So explain to me how that all makes you not sick?" Arthur snapped, a bit annoyed by Alfred's stubbornness. Unfortunately for Alfred, Arthur prided himself on the fact that he was as stubborn as an old mule, if not more.

"I certainly can make you go there! But as long as you're in denial, it won't make a difference!"

Watching Alfred dissolve into sobbing again made Arthur feel awful. He felt like he was only making things worse when he was trying to help Alfred. Was Arthur really that unpleasant of a person? Of course he was, Arthur sighed inwardly. He wanted to apologize to Alfred and leave, but he couldn't leave the other alone in this state. What was Arthur supposed to do?

"W-we need to get you professional help, so that you don't hurt yourself further..."

Hesitantly, Arthur reached out and embraced Alfred. The other model seemed so sad and scared, that even Arthur couldn't resist the urge to comfort the other. He just hoped that the hug would help Alfred, even just a little bit. He had no idea what else to do. After all, Arthur was a bit of a hermit and often shied from the company of others.

"What do you propose that I do then? Watch you starve yourself?"

Arthur embraced Alfred tightly, surprised that he hadn't been rejected. In fact, Arthur thought that it seemed to comfort the other model just a bit. He continued to hug Alfred as he comforted him. Arthur had to figure out how he was going to help Alfred, but he honestly had no idea. He certainly couldn't keep an eye on the other at all times. It made him wonder why Alfred was so afraid of the hospital. Arthur wanted to put Alfred into the hospital, but a thought crossed his mind that perhaps Arthur was afraid of the responsibility, and didn't want to deal with the human contact. After all, in his disdain for others, Arthur had moved across the world just to avoid his closest relatives. Arthur took a deep breath before gathering his thoughts.

"I-I'll try. I can't say I'll be that much help, but I will try. Why are you so afraid of the hospital, anyways?"

Arthur was glad to be a source of comfort, though he reminded himself he was filling the same role that a stuffed unicorn had. He was just a person who got mixed up in this by accident. Such thoughts didn't help Arthur's self esteem, but he reminded himself that he had to help Alfred, because at the moment, he was the only one who could. He hugged Alfred tightly, trying to comfort the other model.

"Why? Shouldn't you be worrying about yourself? I mean... he can support himself while you're in rehabilitation, correct?"

Hearing that the stuffed magical creature was preferable to him would have hurt his pride, and therefore gotten Arthur very angry. He continued to hug Al, since he wasn't sure what else to do. Even though Arthur acted like he didn't care about others, he did have a sense of responsibility and felt that he had to make sure Alfred was okay. After all, Arthur prided himself on being a proper gentleman, even if he often did not act as such.

When hearing Alfred's reply, Arthur frowned and thought for a moment. "Can he pick up a side job? No... That's a bit cruel of myself..." He looked away and mumbled the next part, "Since I am supporting only myself at the moment, I suppose I could spare some money to make sure you two don't starve or end up on the streets."

It wasn’t that the unicorn was better, it was just squishier! Arthur was skinny because he was a model, so there wasn’t much to squish! Alfred really was glad that Arthur was staying with him because he hated being alone when depressed, even if that meant that his coworker saw him break down into tears like a little girl.

Startled by the offer, Alfred pulled back and stared up at Arthur with wide, watery blue eyes. “W-What? N-No! I can’t burden y-you like that!”

Arthur couldn't help not being squishy as a unicorn plushie! Plus it was incredibly fluffy, while Arthur was just skinny and rather bony. Even so, he continued to embrace and comfort Alfred, because his sense of duty forbid him to abandon the other, even if Arthur wasn't exactly fond of interacting with others. Then again, Arthur was starting to not get as annoyed as the other model before, that is to say, he was starting to grow fond of the other. Considering the fact it was Arthur, that was a significant step for the British model.

Arthur was surprised when the other suddenly jumped away from him. He couldn't help but look into the other's eyes, surprised at how blue they remained when misted with tears. Raising a large eyebrow, he responded, "You'd rather have me sit back and let you two starve? Honestly, lad."

The fluffiness is always a good thing when you want a squishy plushie. But Arthur was warm, which was even better. All Alfred knew was that Arthur was being incredibly kind to him and he wished that they could become friends after this whole mess got sorted out.

Rubbing his eyes, Alfred shook his head, not believing what he was hearing. Arthur wanted to help the two of them financially? That… that was crazy and so nice. “But… y-you need that money for yourself…”

Arthur was warm, though he wasn't fluffy or very squishy. Arthur wasn't even much of a touchy feely person, but he knew that Alfred needed a hug, and his pride as a gentleman would not allow him to abandon the other model in his time of need. So Arthur was stuck with the job of hugging Alfred. Though, he would loathe to admit that hugging the other wasn't so bad. He also knew that it wasn't a good idea to mention his distaste for hugs.

Arthur was crazy, and he was nice, when he wanted to be. "I'm living alone in a tiny apartment, and with a famous model's budget. I'm not exactly strapped for cash," he replied, refusing to take back his offer.

Alfred loved hugging people. Loved it. There was just something about holding something and being held back that made him feel warm and safe. It was totally lame, he knew that, but he couldn’t help himself. He enjoyed hugs too much and Arthur was good at giving hugs, so he’d definitely want to hug the Brit later on.

“O-Oh…” Seeing that arguing about this was going to be useless, he sighed and nodded. “I… thank you…”
